Unit three covers all aspects of culture to include basic ideas such as cultural diffusion, innovations, and acculturation. One major theme of this unit is conflict created by culture. Ethnic cleansing and genocide is discussed as well as religious conflicts around the world. Perhaps the most difficult idea in this unit is regions. Students are encouraged to listen to the podcast on regions. |
