What is a Podcast? A podcast is an audio file that can be downloaded to your computer and listened to with a media player such as windows media player or realplayer. A podcast can also be downloaded to a portable device such as an apple ipod. However, you do not have to have an ipod to listen to a podcast. Any portable media player that can play mp3 files can play a podcast. Why would I want to listen to a Podcast? Think about this. You missed part of a lesson in class and your notes don't have the answer you are looking for, or you just want to refresh your memory before a test. Download a podcast and listen to a mini lesson, then download and complete the assignments that are provided online. It is the next best thing to having a tutor! Spend a lot of time riding the bus in the morning? Download a podcast, put it on a portable device, and catch up on the lesson on the way to school. Like to ride a bike, run, or walk? Why not study for an upcoming test while you workout? |
